Conversions 1 Per Click vs. Conversions Many Per Click

Author: Nathan Pabich

If you’ve clicked on the “conversion tracking” button in your AdWords account you may have been greeted these 2 different conversion metrics. What do they mean?

Conversions 1 per click – this is a 1:1 ratio between ad click and user that converted. Conversions many per click is the total number of conversion – one user may have converted multiple times.

This used to be represented in AdWords reports as transactions. As long as the AdWords tracking cookie remains on a visitor’s computer, every additional purchase, download, etc. that they create will only count as one conversion (represented in the traditional user interface), but the total value of this visitor may go up as they create multiple conversions from that initial AdWords click.

Looking at these figures may make your PPC endeavor more profitable than you had already supposed.
